Hopcat was always a favorite of mine when I was in college a few years ago, and I recently went back and tried it again! I love the interior, the decor is super unique and there's something new to look at everywhere! It did take our server about 10 minutes to come say hi and get our drink orders, but she was apologetic and offered a free appetizer, so that made up for it. We got the cheese curds and they were unique but SO GOOD. They came with a bloody mary aioli and that was also really good! I ordered the Madtown Grilled Cheese, which was always my favorite. It was overall pretty good, but the sliced apples on it were honestly too thick, they used to be very thinly sliced, but they were so thick the apple almost overpowered the grilled cheese, so that was disappointing. It would've been so good if not for that. The tomato soup and cosmic fries were a hit as always, though!
Food was great and service was great. Traveling through and our nephew recommended hop cat. Me and my wife split a mushroom swiss burger and a salad.
Service, food and atmosphere is super nice! Food is amazing!!!!!! My go to is the mac and cheese with chopped bacon. I get a side of cosmik fries with the cheese sauce and ranch! Something about that cheese sauce is
Outstanding - 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD! A group of us dined at HopCat Lincoln this past Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant has a great ambiance with a very fun & inviting atmosphere. Our server, Emily, was the best server we had in a very long time. She was very attentive and accommodating to our requests, especially with a group of six ladies. The food and drinks were amazing, absolutely delicious and very fresh. We will certainly be back!
My husband and I stopped by right in time to grab some last-minute food. We had the beer and wine passport that provided a free order of cosmic fries that were delicious! Seasoned fries with cheese sauce... Yes please! We grabbed a couple beers on draft and ate our fries and that's about it. The few bartenders we interacted with were very nice, and the space looked pretty cool to hang out and visit with friends next time. I definitely want to bring the boys next because I think they'll really enjoy the burgers and the fries.
Checked this place out after a buskers baseball game. We were sat right away and all the staff was friendly. They have a ton of different seating options for different sized groups as well as seating around the bar. They have an extensive menu. We both ended up getting burgers which were huge. They are double patty burgers so it's a lot of food but it was really good. The fries were seasoned well. The food came out quick but we did get there right before the after game rush. Our waitress was great she checked on us multiple times and made sure our drinks were full. Overall, great experience I would definitely go back to check out other food items on the menu.
